Hubitat does not automatically use the correct driver for aërQ Tempurature and Humidity Sensor, you will need to pair aërQ Tempurature and Humidity Sensor and then change its driver manually which will give you critical parameter settings and will feature:
- Temperature
- Humidity
- Battery level
Steps to connect aërQ Tempurature and Humidity Sensor to Hubitat.
- Open your Hubitat interface.
- Click on Devices.
- Click on Discover Devices.
- Click on Z-Wave.
- Click on Start Z-Wave Inclusion.
- Now tap the Action Button 3x times within 1.5 seconds on aërQ Tempurature and Humidity Sensor.
- A device box should appear almost immediately, give it about 10 seconds to initialize, feel free to name your device and save this.
- Now go to "Devices".
- Click on your aërQ Tempurature and Humidity Sensor.
- Under "Device Information" change Type to "Aeotec AerQ".
- Click on "Save Device".
- Wait 10 seconds, then tap the Action Button once. This should update battery, humiditiy, and temperature values.
How to remove or factory reset aërQ Tempurature and Humidity Sensor from Hubitat.
- Open your Hubitat interface.
- Click on Devices.
- Click on Discover Devices.
- Click on Z-Wave.
- Click on Start Z-Wave Exclusion.
- Now tap the Action Button 3x times within 1.5 seconds on aërQ Tempurature and Humidity Sensor.
- Your Hubitat should tell you if it excluded an unknown device or a specific sensor if it was paired properly previously.
Troubleshooting
Having issues pairing your device?
- Move your Sensor within 4 - 10 ft of your Hubitat Z-Wave network.
- Remove power from aërQ Tempurature and Humidity Sensor for 1 minute, then power it up again.
- Try factory resetting or removing your aërQ Tempurature and Humidity Sensor.
- Remove / Factory Reset first in case the device actually paired to Hubitat otherwise it will leave a phantom device in your network that will be difficult to remove.
- Perform a manual factory reset - only do this if you are not able to perform the remove steps above.
- Press and hold the Action Button for 10 seconds until the green LED blinks at 5 seconds, and becomes solid green at 10 seconds to indicate success.
