Aeotec Outlet is designed to control devices using the Smart Home Hub over a physical and wireless connection. It is powered by SmartThings Zigbee technology.

Connect the Aeotec Outlet

Steps in SmartThings Connect.
- From the Home screen, touch the Plus (+) icon and select Device.
- Select SmartThings, touch Outlet, and then Outlet (STS-MLT & Others).
- Touch Start.
- Choose a Hub for the device.
- Choose a Room for the device and touch Next.
- While the Hub searches, move the Outlet within 15 feet of the Hub and plug it in.
Using Aeotec Outlet
SmartThings Outlet is now a part of your Smart Home Hub network. It will appear as a motion widget that can display motion status or temperature sensor readings.
This section will go over how to display all information in your SmartThings Connect app.
Steps in SmartThings Connect
- Open SmartThings Connect
- Scroll down to your Aeotec Outlet
- Then tap Aeotec Outlet widget.
- On this screen, it should display:
- ON/OFF
- Watt Meter
- Timer
- On Time
- Off Time

Factory reset your Aeotec Outlet
Aeotec Outlet can be factory reset at any time if you come across any issues, or if you need to re-pair Aeotec Outlet to another hub.

Steps in SmartThings Connect.
- Press and Hold the connect button for five (5) seconds.
- Release the button when the LED starts blinking blue.
- The LED will blink blue two times while attempting to connect.
