This guide will leave you through connecting your Door / Window Sensor 7 to Hubitat which will feature these functions for either ZWA018 or ZWA019:

Steps to pair Water Sensor 7 to Hubitat.
- Open your Hubitat interface
- Click on Devices
- Click on Discover Devices
- Click on Z-Wave
- Click on Start Z-Wave Inclusion
- Remove the cover of your Water Sensor 7
- Now tap the small black tamper switch 3x quickly on Door/Window Sensor 7.
- A device box should appear almost immediately, give it about 20 seconds to initialize, feel free to name your device and save this.
- Now go to "Devices"
- Click on "Save Device"
How to exclude Water Sensor 7 from Hubitat .
- Open your Hubitat interface
- Click on Devices
- Click on Discover Devices
- Click on Z-Wave
- Click on Start Z-Wave Exclusion
- Remove the cover of your Water Sensor 7
- Now tap the small black tamper switch 3x quickly on Water Sensor 7.
- Your Hubitat should tell you if it excluded an unknown device or a specific sensor if it was paired properly previously.
Troubleshooting
Having issues pairing your device?
- Move your Sensor within 4 - 10 ft of your Hubitat Z-Wave network.
- Remove power from Water Sensor 7 for 1 minute, then power it up again.
- Try factory resetting or excluding your Water Sensor 7.
- Exclude first in case the device actually paired to Hubitat otherwise it will leave a phantom device in your network that will be difficult to remove.
- Perform a manual factory reset
- Remove the cover of your Water Sensor 7
- Press and hold the tamper switch for 5 seconds until the red LED blinks.
- Quickly release the tamper switch, and then immediately press and hold again.
- If successful, the LED will display a solid green LED.
Having issues with device not appearing properly?
- Change the device type to the correct device driver following these steps:
- On hubitat, click on "Devices"
- Find Water Sensor 7 as you've named it and click on it.
- Under "Device Information" look for "Type" and change this to:
- If Water Sensor 7 (ZWA018), change it to "Generic Z-Wave Water Sensor"
- If Water Sensor 7 Pro (ZWA019), change it to "Aeotec Water Sensor PRO 7"
- Then click on "Save Device"
- The values will for the sensor will start to appear as they are triggered. Few items to do to force battery and water values to appear:
- Tap the tamper switch once, this will display battery.
- Place the probes into water, then remove them, this will display water.
- For Water Sensor 7 Pro (ZWA019), wait up to 1 hour and temperature and humidity should appear on its own.
