When paired with Aeotec Smart Home Hub and the SmartThings software that the hub uses, Door / Window Sensor 7 or Door / Window Sensor 7 Pro will offer the following features:

Steps to pair Door/Window Sensor 7 to Aeotec Smart Home Hub (SmartThings).
- Open SmartThings.
- Select "+" located at the top right corner (second icon from the right).
- Select "Add Device".
- Select "Scan Nearby"
- Open the cover of your Door / Window Sensor 7.
- Now tap the small black tamper switch 3x quicklyon Door Window Sensor 7.
- Make sure that you wait after you triple tap, tapping more than 3x times after pairing with your hub can disrupt the pairing process if the pair process has started (and then you triple press again).

- (If Secure pairing available) - Click on "Secure pair"
- Scan the QR code or choose to enter the DSK code (pin code located under the QR barcode)
- Now wait about a minute and your device should show up as "Aeotec Open/Close Sensor", feel free to rename this.
How to remove/unpair Door/Window Sensor 7 from Aeotec Smart Home Hub (SmartThings).
These steps can be performed even if Door/Window Sensor 7 are not yet paired to your Aeotec Smart Home Hub.
- Open SmartThings.
- Find your hub in the device list, then select it.
- Tap More Options (3 dot icon) located at the top right corner.
- Tap Z-Wave Utilities.
- Tap General Exclusion.
- Open the cover of your Door / Window Sensor 7.
- Now tap the small black tamper switch 3x quickly on Door Window Sensor 7.
- SmartThings should confirm that it has factory reset and removed a device.
- Now try the pairing steps at the top again.
Troubleshooting
1. Having issues pairing your device?
- Move your Sensor within 4 - 10 ft of your Aeotec Smart Home Hub, its possible that it is too far.
- Remove power from Aeotec Smart Home Hub for 6 minutes, then power it up again.
- Remove power from Door/Window Sensor 7 for 1 minute, then power it up again.
- Try factory resetting or removing your Door/Window Sensor 7.
- Remove/unpair first in case the device actually paired to your hub otherwise it will leave a phantom device in your network that will be difficult to remove/unpair.
- Perform a manual hard factory reset
- Remove the cover of your Door/Window Sensor 7
- Press and hold the tamper switch for 5 seconds until the red LED blinks.
- Quickly release the tamper switch, and then immediately press and hold again.
- If successful, the LED will display a solid green LED.
2. Door Window Sensor 7 showing up as a generic device?
- Check if SmartThings picked up all of the correct information, follow the below steps to check:
- Login to: my.smartthings.com
- Click on the 3 dot icon (top right)
- Click Advanced User
- Click Devices
- Click on the name of your Door Window Sensor 7
