Connect the Aeotec Pico Switch to Home Assistant


Steps in Home Assistant.

  1. From the Home Assistant dashboard, tap Settings
  2. Select Device & Services
  3. Under Zigbee Home Automation, select CONFIGURE
  4. At the bottom right, select + ADD DEVICE
  5. tap the Action Button on Pico Switch twice quickly, the LED will flash rapidly while it attempts to connect.
  6. Your device will appear as the Aeotec ZGA002





Using Aeotec Pico Switch in Home Assistant


Aeotec Pico Switch is now a part of your Zigbee Home Automation network in Home Assistant. It will not immediately be added to your dashboard but you may now access the device to add specific parts to your Home Assistant dashboard for easy control.


This section will go over how to display all information in your Home Assistant.



Steps.

  1. From the Home Assistant dashboard, tap Settings
  2. Select Device & Services
  3. Under Zigbee Home Automation, select X Devices (ie. 5 Devices)
  4. Select AEOTEC ZGA002 (or whatever you named it)
  5. You can click on "ADD TO DASHBOARD" on any section to add device information and further control. 


You may use On/Off Switch and Watt/kWh sensor reports in an Automations or manually control it from your Home Assistant interface.





How to remove Aeotec Pico Switch from Home Assistant


If your Aeotec Pico Switch is not performing as you expected, you'll likely need to reset your Pico Switch and remove it from Home Assistant to begin a fresh start.


Steps.

  1. From the Home Assistant dashboard, tap Settings
  2. Select Device & Services
  3. Under Zigbee Home Automation, select X Devices (ie. 5 Devices)
  4. Select AEOTEC ZGA002 (or whatever you named it)
  5. Tap the 3 dot icon under "Device info"
  6. Then tap on Remove





Factory reset your Aeotec Pico Switch


Aeotec Pico Switch can be factory reset at any time if you come across any issues, or if you need to re-pair Aeotec Pico Switch to another hub. 

  1. Press and Hold the action button for ten (10) seconds.
  2. Release the button when the LED starts breathing its LED slowly.
