Connect the Aeotec Pico Shutter to Home Assistant
Steps in Home Assistant.
- From the Home Assistant dashboard, tap Settings
- Select Device & Services
- Under Zigbee Home Automation, select CONFIGURE
- At the bottom right, select + ADD DEVICE
- tap the Action Button on Pico Shutter twice quickly, the LED will flash rapidly while it attempts to connect.
- Your device will appear as the Aeotec ZGA004
Using Aeotec Pico Shutter in Home Assistant
Aeotec Pico Shutter is now a part of your Zigbee Home Automation network in Home Assistant. It will not immediately be added to your dashboard but you may now access the device to add specific parts to your Home Assistant dashboard for easy control.
This section will go over how to display all information in your Home Assistant.
Steps.
- From the Home Assistant dashboard, tap Settings
- Select Device & Services
- Under Zigbee Home Automation, select X Devices (ie. 5 Devices)
- Select AEOTEC ZGA004 (or whatever you named it)
- You can click on "ADD TO DASHBOARD" on any section to add device information and further control.
You can now use Cover to open and close the shutters connected to your Pico Shutter.
How to remove Aeotec Pico Shutter from Home Assistant
If your Aeotec Pico Shutter is not performing as you expected, you'll likely need to reset your Pico Shutter and remove it from Home Assistant to begin a fresh start.
Steps.
- From the Home Assistant dashboard, tap Settings
- Select Device & Services
- Under Zigbee Home Automation, select X Devices (ie. 5 Devices)
- Select AEOTEC ZGA004 (or whatever you named it)
- Tap the 3 dot icon under "Device info"
- Then tap on Remove
Factory reset your Aeotec Pico Shutter
Aeotec Pico Duo Switch can be factory reset at any time if you come across any issues, or if you need to re-pair Aeotec Pico Shutter to another hub.
- Press and Hold the action button for ten (10) seconds.
- Release the button when the LED starts breathing its LED slowly.
