This page contains the firmware update files for Smart Switch 7 EU and forms part of the larger Smart Switch 7 EU user guide.
Notes - This is only for the Smart Switch 7 ZW175-C, this will not work for the US Frequency version.
- Performing this firmware update will clear the security key's stored in the device, by firmware updating, it will overwrite the secure keys stored in the Smart Switch 7. Performing this update will require you to unpair/exclude and re-pair the sensor again.
Changelogs
- V1.3
- Changes how threshold reporting is done on the Smart Switch 7 EU to allow a change in threshold to initiate multiple reports if there is watt change that is above 0W (originally it will only change once between 0W and the threshold setting).
- Completely overwrites the old firmware - requires exclusion and re-inclusion due to missing secure key.
Download Smart Switch 7 EU .OTZ firmware update
Before you update
Please make sure you download the correct Z-Wave Frequency and begin the update with the Smart Switch 7 as close as 10ft / 3m distance to your hub to avoid any possible firmware update issues to avoid bricking your device.
Warning: Do not update with the wrong Z-Wave Frequency, it will change the Z-Wave frequency of the Smart Switch 7 which will not allow the switch to re-connect to the same controller.
Update with an existing Z-Wave hub
In order to use the OTZ update files, your Z-Wave gateway must support OTA firmware updates. If supported, follow the steps from your Z-Wave Gateway/hub/software to firmware update your Smart Switch.
