Important safety information.

- Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
- Only use attachments and accessories specified by the Manufacturer.
Connect Aeotec Smart Outlet
There are 3 different methods to pair your Aeotec Smart Outlet, each set of steps will be provided for each connection method.
1. Auto-detect pairing
- Open SmartThings App
- Plug Aeotec Smart Outlet into the socket.
- When the plug is automatically recognized by SmartThings, tap on add.
- Login with your SmartThings/Samsung account.
- Connect to the Wi-Fi of Smart Outlet when prompted
- Select your Wi-Fi SSID and enter your Wi-Fi password.
- Choose a Room for the device and touch OK.
2. SmartThings device catalog
- From the Home screen, tap the Plus (+) icon and select Device.
- Select Partner Devices, Select Aeotec -> Plugs -> Aeotec Wi-Fi Smart Plug.
- Follow the instructions in the SmartThings app.
- When the plug has been recognized, tap on it.
- Login with your SmartThings/Samsung account.
- Connect to the Wi-Fi of the Smart Outlet when prompted
- Select your Wi-Fi and enter your Wi-Fi password.
- Choose a Room for the device and touch OK.
3. Scan Nearby pairing
- From the Home screen, tap Plus (+) icon and select Device.
- Press “Add device”.
- Press “Scan Nearby”.
- Select your Smart Outlet when it appears.
- Follow the further instructions in the App until your Smart Outlet is connected.
- Choose a Room for the device and tap OK.
Using Aeotec Smart Outlet
Aeotec Smart Outlet is now a part of your Smart Home Hub network. It will appear as a Plug or Switch widget that can display status and overall power consumption.
Its device information can be fully viewed in SmartThings app by:
- Open SmartThings
- Scroll down to your Aeotec Smart Outlet
- Then tap Aeotec Smart Outlet widget.
- On this screen, it should display:
- ON/OFF
- Watt Meter
- Consumption meter
- Timer
- On-Time
- Off-Time

LED display
ON | Blue light is solid on, the device is connected to WiFi and server, and the relay is in an ON state. |
OFF | Blue light is solid off, the device is connected to WiFi and server, and the relay is in an OFF state. |
Slowly Blinking | The device is not connected and awaiting pair/setup. |
Quickly Blinking | The device is attempting to connect to Wi-Fi and SmartThings server, or the device is updating firmware. |
Factory reset your Aeotec Smart Outlet
Aeotec Smart Outlet can be factory reset at any time if you come across any issues, or if you need to re-connect Aeotec Smart Outlet.
Press and hold the Action Button for 5 seconds to manually factory reset Aeotec Smart Outlet.
After the reset, the Smart Outlet’s LED should blink blue slowly.
Unplug the Smart Outlet and plug it in again.
Try connecting Smart Outlet again. Consider a closer location to your Wi-Fi Router for connecting it, and then move it into its installation location.
