The Home Energy Meter 8 has numerous end points, with each additional terminal adding 2 end points. This can quickly become confusing in the HomeCenter3, this guide will help lead you through what each endpoints mean for this device.
Pair/Include Home Energy Meter 8 using Fibaro HC3 / Yubii Home
First connect Home Energy Meter to Fibaro HC3, use the steps below in this section to pair/include your Home Energy Meter 8 to Fibaro HC3 / Yubii Home.
- Open the Home Centre 3 user interface.
- Tap"+ Add device" located at the top right corner.
- Tap "Z-Wave".
- Tap "Start"
- Home Center 3 will now be scanning for a device to pair (you can confirm that the green LED on your hub is now blinking at this point).
- Tap the action button once quickly on Home Energy Meter 8 to pair the sensor.
- Input the 5 digit pin code to finalize secure pairing.
Remove/Exclude Home Energy Meter 8 using Fibaro HC3 / Yubii Home
These steps can be performed even if Home Energy Meter 8 are not yet paired to your Home Center 3. This makes a good method to factory resetting your Home Energy Meter 8
- Open the Home Centre 3 / Yubii user interface.
- Tap"- Remove device" located at the top right corner.
- Tap "Z-Wave".
- Tap "Start"
- Home Center 3 will now remove your device.
- Tap the action button once quickly on Home Energy Meter 8 to pair the sensor.
Understanding Home Energy Meter on Fibaro HC3 / Yubii Home
3 Clamp Endpoints / Legend:
- Endpoint 0 - Root device (hidden)
- Endpoint 1 - Phase A import (Clamp 1)
- Endpoint 2 - Phase A export (Clamp 1)
- Endpoint 3 - Phase B import (Clamp 2)
- Endpoint 4 - Phase B export (Clamp 2)
- Endpoint 5 - Phase C import (Clamp 3)
- Endpoint 6 - Phase C export (Clamp 3)
- Endpoint 7 - algebraic sum of import current of all phases
- Endpoint 8 - algebraic sum of export current of all phases
- Endpoint 9 - net value import
- Endpoint 10 - net value export
Energy Panel:
When using the energy panel, it is recommended that the last 4 end points should not be included to avoid false readings due to duplicated values.
The setting can be found in the respective Energy Meter under General tab.
Parameter 101 - 106 Configuration:
Parameters 101- 106 are defined by bit table. In HomeCenter 3 there is the option of setting each bit individually under parameters.
To understand which bit is which value, look at the following image:
Example: Parameter 101 - 103 (Endpoint 1, 3, 5, 7, 9)
Example: Parameter 104 - 106 (Endpoint 2,4,6,8,10)
