a.
Create a Space


Creating spaces allows AutoPilot server to separate all your connected devices into spaces that you can easily view and organize. This can be done in either browser or app interface.


1. In browser interface


Steps


1. In AutoPilot server, select "Management" in the top right expandable menu. 

2. Scroll down to the section "Spaces

3. Select "Add a Space" to the top right side of that section.

4. Add name of space

5. Add size of space -

  • If Imperial is set, the size units will be in ft^2
  • If Metric is set, the size units will be in m^2

6. Input the size of the Ground Floor of this space

7. Choose Indoor or Outdoor by toggling the switch next to it.

8. Select a room icon

9. Select Create or Create & Add New button


Create will bring you to the newly created space.

Create & Add New will create that space, and allow you to create another space without having to shift back through the spaces page.

Steps

  1. Tap the Menu located on the top right side of your screen.
  2. Tap Spaces.
  3. Select "Create your first Space" if this is your first time creating a space.
    • If it is not the first, you can select "+to create new spaces. 
  4.  Fill in the information. 
    • Size -
      • If Imperial is set, the size will be in ft^2
      • If Metric is set, the size will be in m^2
    • Floor Level - Pick + or - to increase or decrease floor level location.
    • Indoors - toggle this switch to determine if this space is indoors or outdoors. Enabling determines that this space in indoors.
    • Pick an icon for this Space - Allows you to choose the icon that most resembles the identifying space, makes it easier to determine what space you are viewing.
  5. Select Create.
  6. This will bring you back to the spaces page where you can choose what page to view or edit.

Manage Spaces


If there is any information is incorrect, you can always modify the space details using the manage space option.


Steps


1. In AutoPilot server, select SPACES, and then the space that you want to edit.

2. Select the gear wheel icon located in the upper right corner.

3. Change your room settings. You will have these options to configure:


  • Name - sets the name of the space.
  • Space size - sets the size of the space.
  • Floor - determines what floor in your home this space is located in.
  • Location - determines if this space is located indoors or outdoors.
  • Icon - sets a distinctive icon to the space.


4. Select Save button.

Delete Spaces


You can choose to delete the space that you've created at any point in time. Any devices assigned to a deleted space will move back to "Not assigned to a space".


Steps


1. In AutoPilot server, select SPACES, and then the space that you want to edit.

2. Select the gear wheel icon located in the upper right corner.

3. Select Delete space button located towards the bottom of this page.

Widget Control



To control devices, various widgets are created depending on what the connected device supports.

  • Scene control - Is generated when you use remote controls or scene control.
  • Dimmer - Is generated when Control of dimming devices
  • Color - Is generated to control colors and brightness
  • Sensor - Available as binary and multisensor to display different values and states
  • Thermostat - This widget is used to set temperature
  • Switch - Switch devices on and off
  • Shutter - Enables the control of blinds


General widget options


Gearwheel - Options of the widget

- Rename 

- Add to Dashboard

- Hide events for this device

Schedule - Show moments of device

Timeline - Show sensor moments of last 24 hours
