SmartThings now moving from groovy to Edge drivers have required new drivers to reach more customized parameter settings. Below are some invitation links to some of our devices that expand upon the default use cases of each device.
Click on this link to join the Aeotec Group channel and install the drivers that you need:

How to install Edge Drivers:
- Click on the invitational link from either Aeotec Group or CommanderQ to access the drivers.
- Sign into your SmartThings/Samsung account.
- Click on "Join"
- Give it about a minute for your account and hub to gain access, and then refresh the page.
- Click on "Install" on any Edge drivers you'd like to install.
Check if your device is using an edge driver, there are 2 methods:
(Method 1)
- Login to SmartThings IDE here: http://ide.smartthings.com/
- Click My Locations and a location name,
- Click My Devices.
- Any device listed with "placeholder" under Type* is 95% likely to be a device using Edge drivers.
- (Any device listed with a proper name under "Type" is always using Groovy)
- (Any device listed with a proper name under "Type" is always using Groovy)
(Method 2 - SmartThings App)
- Open up SmartThings app on your phone
- Tap Devices, and select a device to open its page to investigate.
- Now tap More Options (3 dot icon), and if the option "Driver" appears, it is using Edge drivers. If "Driver" does not appear even after fully loading, it is using Groovy DTH drivers.
How to use the custom Edge Driver:
- If your device is already using an edge driver, you can follow these steps:
- Open SmartThings app
- Open the Z-Wave device page (for example Smart Switch 7)
- Click on "Driver" option
- Click "Change Driver"
- You can now change the driver to a compatible custom driver here.
- Now if your device is using Groovy drivers, but you want to swap to Edge drivers now:
- Install the custom edge driver that you want (there are typically standard edge drivers by SmartThings that your devices should pair as regardless even if you have a custom driver installed or not).
- Click on the invitational link from the channel you want to install the edge driver from.
- Sign into your SmartThings/Samsung account.
- Click on "Join"
- Give it about a minute for your account and hub to gain access, and then refresh the page.
- Click on "Install" on any Edge drivers you'd like to install.
- Ensure that the driver is installed (on the page it should state that the driver has been installed from the driver channel webpage)
- Unpair the device
- Then pair the device back and it should pair as the edge driver that you installed (or a standard driver by SmartThings).
- Install the custom edge driver that you want (there are typically standard edge drivers by SmartThings that your devices should pair as regardless even if you have a custom driver installed or not).
